Karima

Karima is a luxury handmade macramé collection designed and produced in Greece.

Macramé – “desia” as known in Greek – was used extensively in Crete hundreds of years ago by women to build trousseau, using nothing but their hands, no tools whatsoever. Each Karima garment and accessory is one of a kind, a unique “wearable jewellery” creation like each woman’s personality.

Unpretentious and forward-character designs evolve as Kalliopi Karavassili – the founder and creator of Karima – manifests in each creation’s “journey” blending imagination with threads of cotton, jute, rayon, leather or premium quality silk from Soufli, a town in Northern Greece well known for its unique quality silk production.

Karima collection explores the magic world of thread sculpturing every creation by hand through thousands of knots giving a sense of empowerment, beauty and generosity to women.
